The Asian Mining Congress (AMC) a biennial event organized by The Mining, Geological & Metallurgical Institute of India (MGMI), provides a forum for the miners, machinery manufacturers, planners, regulators, academicians, scientists and policy makers to discuss various issues affecting the mineral industry in the Asian region in particular, and rest of the world at large. The first AMC and IMEwere held in January 2006 to commemorate the centenary of MGMI.
Asia, the world's largest continent, is also the world's highest producer of raw materials to the tune of 10 billion tonnes per year, accounting for 56% of global mineral production. With huge area and diversity of geological set-up in Asia, it is likely that every kind of deposit is present in this continent. The outlook for mine development is very promising here and it plays a major role in the global economy.
The congress will provide a forum for promotion and support of techno-scientific cooperation towards national and international progress in the areas of mineral production, in addition to the development of new opportunities of sustainable business that will benefit both Asian and world communities.

The Congress aims at global participation of professional managers, planners, policy makers, equipment manufacturers, scientists and academicians to interact on the various issues related to the Mineral Industry in Asia. All the major mineral producing countries in Asia will be requested to present their country status papers. Besides Asian Countries, leading mineral producing countries in different parts of the world are expected to participate.
Call for Papers
Technical papers are invited from interested participants on the lead subjects, identified above, for the Congress. Necessary guidelines will be sent, on receipt of request, to the interested authors, who are requested to send Abstracts of papers at an early date. Authors will be notified on the acceptance of their papers on the basis of the Abstracts received by the Congress Secretariat by 15th July 2017.Final papers are required to be submitted, latest by 31st August 2017, in full, with black & white illustrations, in duplicate, in A4 size hard copy and also as a soft copy, preferably in CD or by e-mail, along with brief Biographical Sketch of authors (not more than 100 words) and two coloured passport-size photographs.
